Propaganda was used during the war for many reasons and for many different things. Countries wanted to show of their military, intimidating their opponents and making them feel beneath ones country, which is called nationalism. Imperialism also played a role in WW1, counties wanted power over smaller countries and show that they were a world power. Propaganda was also used to show people how they could grow economically, portraying goods to viewer so that it can benefit the economy of that country. Lots of money was being used, and if the counterfeits weren't careful, they could end up without a single penny to finace their campaigns, which is why so many advertisements and propaganda was used, to catch the viewers attention and making them support their country in the war. Austria Hungary used propaganda to show their people that they needed their support and promote nationalism. Something that was common in almost all the propaganda was the urgency to want to stabilize and increase their budget to be able to buy more weapons and powerful advancement that would allow them to fight about 32 countries. They realized that the more power and money they had, they could support their allies and last longer if the war prolonged. It also needed all of those war bonds to be able to get resources such as food and natural resources to be able to power their vehicles and boats and feed the troops and residents that were living in Austria Hungary in 1916.
